Artilleros Win, Downing Rebeldes, 4-2

The Maunabo Artilleros beat the Moca Rebeldes, 4-2. Maunabo pitcher and Rotherham, England, native Ewan Mackenzie led the way. Mackenzie yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 1. His record improves to 1-3. The loss drops the Rebeldes to 9-9.
Labán Orozco had a big 2-run double for the Artilleros in the bottom of the first inning. With Maunabo leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Raúl Torres, who is tied for 9th in the LB in innings pitched with 43.1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Artilleros ahead, 4-0.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Maunabo manager Tiobrady O'Reilly. "Our pregame was pretty good."
