Puebla Upended by Ciudad Mexico, 3-1

Estadio Federal was the site of a competitive game between the Puebla Mosqueteros and Ciudad Mexico Volcanes.
The Ciudad Mexico Volcanes picked up a win at Estadio Federal, knocking off the Puebla Mosqueteros, 3-1. Starting pitcher Senén Tavárez played a key role in the triumph. Tavárez, now 8-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.
With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Ofelio Muñiz put Ciudad Mexico in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring single. The Volcanes went on to win the ballgame.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Volcanes manager Leonardo Leal, "I like our chances."
Ciudad Mexico now has a record of 40-35 with the win.
