Acapulco starter Caleb Major pitched well against the Puebla Mosqueteros at Estadio Municipal de Puebla. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. Major, the winner, moves to 7-12. He threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 6 walks. The last-place Aztecas now have a record of 33-56.
Early in the game, first baseman Eligio Iracheta had a 2-run home run for Acapulco. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Aztecas on top, 2-0.
