Cerros Tag Tejedores with 6-1 Loss

Soggy conditions did not keep Jayuya and Sabana Grande from playing their scheduled game.
The Jayuya Cerros beat the Sabana Grande Tejedores, 6-1. Jayuya pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Gilberto Castillo led the way. Castillo, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 0, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Álvaro Solís? The Jayuya shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Cerros on top, 4-1. For the game, Solís had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Solís.
Jayuya is now 2-1.
