Benavides Propels Ciudad Mexico to 8-2 Win
The Ciudad Mexico Volcanes beat the Puebla Mosqueteros, 8-2. Ciudad Mexico pitcher and Río Grande, Puerto Rico, native Laertes Benavides led the way. The 4th-place Volcanes are now 57-46, the Mosqueteros 49-60.

Benavides, a native of Río Grande, Puerto Rico, was dealing all game. He kept Puebla hitters off-balance, while giving the Volcanes 9 quality innings. Benavides threw 127 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 7.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Volcanes manager Leonardo Leal.
