Mosqueteros Handed 5-1 Loss by Campeche
|
Campeche picked up a win at Parque de Campeche, bumping off the Puebla Mosqueteros, 5-1. Pitcher Mórsimo Becerril was a major reason the Corsarios emerged victorious. Campeche, at 65-48, occupies third place in the Sur.
Bonifacio Cruz hit a 2-run double off Enrique Caballero in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Corsarios in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Cruz had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Becerril after the game.
