Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Citricos
The Las Marias Citricos and Arroyo Telegrafistas completed their game despite the rain.

The Arroyo Telegrafistas got a superb performance from third baseman Sebastián Vásquez, but the Las Marias Citricos still won the game, 7-5. Vásquez went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Sebastián Henríquez picked up the win in relief. José Peralta took the loss for Arroyo.

The most important at-bat for Las Marias came in the top of the ninth inning, when third baseman Tomás Hernández stroked a 1-1 fastball to left for a 2-run single, putting Las Marias up, 7-5.

"They played a better game than we did," said Arroyo skipper Leovigildo Medina.

Arroyo is 10-11 after the defeat.
