The Lajas Marcianos faced a tough opponent in Yauco pitcher Guillermo Ramos, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Coliseo Aldo Gallardo by a final score of 6-5. Ramos went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Nepomuceno Mireles, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save. The Marcianos improved their record to 54-77 with the win over Yauco.

Lajas used a timely hit from Rafael Castillo to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Marcianos ahead, 5-3. It might've been his only hit, but it did the trick.

"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Castillo.
