Camuy center fielder Roberto Gómez contributed significantly to his team's 7-6 win over the Guayanilla Electricos. Gómez, who finished 4th in the LB in OPS with .876 in 1902, went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Murcielagos. Reliever Marco Cepeda picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Curro Terrazas, who is on pace for 270 strikeouts this season, took the loss. Today's win puts Camuy at 76-51, while Guayanilla falls to 67-65.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Gómez delivered big-time for Camuy, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Curro Terrazas. The game-changing hit put the Murcielagos on top, 7-6.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Gómez told the Camuy Citizen.
