Dulceros Claim 6-2 Triumph
|
José Morales was instrumental in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Rincon Ingenieros. The pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Yabucoa Dulceros. Ryan Burrell went 8.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The left-hander struck out 1 and walked 3. With the win, he ups his record to 11-12 this season. The Dulceros saw their win-loss record go to 55-50. At the same time, the Ingenieros fell to 61-42.
Morales had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 curveball from Pascual García, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Dulceros a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Morales.
