Pitcher Rafael Arispe was sensational for the Loiza Vejigantes in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Guayama Hechiceros. Arispe earned the win. Arispe, now 5-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.

In the bottom of the fifth, Loiza catcher Jerónimo García had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and two out, García stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 1-0, Loiza. For the game, he was 1 for 2 with a walk.

"Rafael is good at sticking to his strengths," said Loiza manager Griffin Brown.
