|
The Las Piedras Menestrales and Guayama Hechiceros played an entertaining game for Estadio de Guayama patrons.
Las Piedras got a strong outing from Celedonio Gutiérrez as the Menestrales defeated the Guayama Hechiceros, 3-2, at Estadio de Guayama. With the win, the Menestrales sit at 73-61.
Had Herminio Medina not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Medina hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Menestrales.
"Celedonio's as tough as he is talented," said Las Piedras manager Sebastián de León.
