The Metropolitanos Gabriel Acuña wrote his name in the league history books by picking up career victory number 200 today against the Cabo Rojo Combatientes. In the San Juan 3-0 triumph at Estadio Juan Rodríguez, the 27-year-old hurler went 8.1 innings, allowed 1 hit and had 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"I won't forget this day," an emotional Acuña told reporters. "It's hard to stay at the top for so long and to win 200 games is quite a feat."

In his career, the 27-year-old Acuña has accumulated a 200-155 won-lost mark and opposing clubs have hit .241 against him.
