There was no shortage of dramatics at Coliseo Germán Márquez.

In a low-scoring contest, Guayama pitcher Mateo Tafoya was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Vittorio Gambachini earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 24-4.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Guayama. That's when Luis Zumbado hit a run-scoring double off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Abilio Rivera to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The key for me has just been attacking the zone and hitting my spots. When I'm throwing strikes and not falling behind in counts, those are the days when I pitch really good," said Tafoya.

The setback makes Fajardo 81-57.
