Ciales pitcher Afrodisio Alcalá had a large part in his team subduing the Orocovis Caciques, 7-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. "I made good pitches, kept the ball out of the middle of the plate for the most part," said Alcalá.
