Caciques Trump Galanes, 4-2

The Orocovis Caciques topped the Ciales Galanes, 4-2, in Liga Betances action at Coliseo Carlos Mujica. The standout performance belonged to Orocovis pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Ángel Moreno. The winner was Moreno. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Cosme Méndez. At 47-91, the Caciques are currently third in the Liga Betances Centro.
Orocovis shortstop Sílvano Díaz helped the Caciques go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Díaz hit a run-scoring single off Ciales pitcher Cosme Méndez.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Caciques manager Jorge Vega. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
