Arribenos Win Another One, 5-4
|
The Utuado Arribenos picked up a win at Coliseo Miguel Flores, dropping the Carolina Tumbabrazos, 5-4. Eulalio Castillo, who finished 5th in the LH in ERA with 1.95 in 1905, was the difference-maker. Miguel García earned the save for Utuado, his 3rd. The defeat makes Carolina 14-10.
Nick Gordon, who finished 2nd in the LH in hits with 201 in 1907, aided the Utuado cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"I'm just trying to capitalize on opportunities and be as consistent as I can every day," said Gordon.
