Rebeldes Earn Late 3-2 Win
|
Moca and Rio Grande got after it at Recinto Atlético del Noreste.
The Moca Rebeldes had to overcome a fine effort from Rio Grande pitcher Carmelo Castillo to win, 3-2, at Recinto Atlético del Noreste. Castillo went 9.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Tristán Trujillo snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Carmelo Castillo suffered the loss.
Nicolás Santiago chipped in for Moca, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"When there are games to be won, you win them," said Moca manager Nerón Jiménez.
Moca is now 14-12.
