Toa Baja Defeats Caguas, 4-0, Ballesteros Nabs 100th Save Thursday, September 10th , 1914 Gamer, bulldog, battler, competitor, winner. They are all terms that have been used in the past to describe Toa Baja's outstanding reliever Raúl Ballesteros. You can now add another one to the list -- member of the 100-save club. Ballesteros reached his historic save in the Jinetes 4-0 victory over the Caguas Coquis. He permitted no runs and no hits while earning the milestone save. The relief star didn't have much to say after the game, telling reporters it was "just another save." Since breaking into the league, Ballesteros has claimed 100 saves and held opposing hitters to a .229 batting average with 312 strikeouts. In 301 games, he has a 54-29 record and a 1.96 ERA.
