Lares Blanks Guayanilla, 9-0 Friday, September 11th , 1914 José Reyes led the Lares Fieles to a shutout victory, 9-0, over the Guayanilla Electricos at Parque Municipal Édgar Cabrera. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Reyes recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Reyes yielded 9 hits and had 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Guayanilla manager Benjamín López said.
