Paredes Pitches Esqueletos to 2-0 Win Tuesday, September 29th , 1914 Vieques Esqueletos right-hander Fidel Paredes used his full arsenal to shoot down the Villalba Mercaderes, 2-0. All day long, he exhibited fine command of all his pitches, giving up 3 walks and striking out 2. Paredes allowed 6 hits in the victory. "It felt like my catcher and I were on the same page all day, and Villalba was on a way, way different page," Paredes said.
