Maricao Sits Atop Liga Betances Cordillera Oeste Friday, October 2nd , 1914 Maricao Cafeteros fans have reason to celebrate today, as their franchise is the class of the Liga Betances Cordillera Oeste. With their record standing at 98-54, the club officially wrapped up the division title today, for the 8th time. Manager Everardo Díaz said everyone on their roster is looking forward to the postseason and trying to capture the club's 1st championship. "That's what you dream about your whole life," Díaz said. Starting Pitcher Marcelo Moreno added that it's a great feeling to win the division, but said ultimately, a Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño victory is what will mark success for the club. |
