1500th Hit for Hein Saturday, October 3rd , 1914 Thiha Hein started out as a baby-faced rookie many seasons ago. Yesterday at Coliseo Jorge Olivares the Corozal veteran joined the league's 1500-hit club. Hein achieved that milestone with a 4-for-5 day in the Mofongueros 8-0 win over the Las Piedras Menestrales. He spoke to reporters in the clubhouse after the game and said, "Looking at the list of all the great players who have done this is humbling. It is a great honor to be among them." Hein is batting .283 with 1502 career base hits, including 265 doubles, 33 triples and 5 home runs with 626 RBIs and 594 runs scored.
