Cotorras Advance to Serie Eliminatoria Friday, October 23rd , 1914 Rio Grande Cotorras fans have Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño aspirations after the team downed the Guaynabo Libertadores 3-1 in the Serie Preliminar. Rio Grande clinched the series with a 4-2 win tonight at Coliseo Jesús Carreón. "We're tough to stop when we're playing well and we have a lot of momentum right now," said series MVP Ezequiel Vásquez. For the series, Vásquez had a 0.54 ERA over 16.2 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record. The Rio Grande Cotorras don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Yauco Corsos - Patillas Cuervos series. Patillas leads the series 2 games to 1. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
