Serie Eliminatoria Goes the Distance, Utuado Prevails Tuesday, November 3rd , 1914 The Utuado Arribenos are heading to the Serie Interdivisional, having narrowly defeated the Corozal Mofongueros. Utuado edged Corozal in the series 3-2, with a win at Coliseo Miguel Flores in the clinching game by a 4-3 margin. Luis Hernández turned in a strong offensive performance for the Arribenos and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Hernández continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .316 with a .350 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Utuado Arribenos will play against the Fajardo Insolentes in the next round. Fajardo won their series against the Yabucoa Dulceros 3 games to 2.
