LNP Approves Fajardo Sale to Chávez Thursday, December 3rd , 1914 Everything points to a new day in Fajardo after it was announced that the Fajardo Insolentes had been acquired by financier and investment magnate Guillermo Chávez. The LNP commissioner said the sale had been approved by the league owners, and the new owner was introduced at a press conference today at Estadio Rolando Figueroa. The Fajardo Insolentes are fresh off a first-place finish this season. They compiled a 100-68 mark in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago. Chávez boasted to the press corps, "All my life, everything I've touched has turned to gold. I expect the Fajardo Insolentes to be the best baseball organization in the league and will work tirelessly toward that end." |
