Veracruz Silences Chetumal, 2-0 Saturday, August 1st , 1914 Noé Rojas kept the Chetumal Mayas hitters from doing much damage at Parque de los Vigías. Chetumal could only muster 1 hit and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Rojas, who controlled them throughout the game. Veracruz won the contest, 2-0. Rojas added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Rojas told reporters after the shutout win.
