Coahuila Wins Campeonato de las Ligas Saturday, September 12th , 1914 The Coahuila Carboneros outclassed the Guanajuato Libertadores in all facets of the game throughout the LN Campeonato de las Ligas. The end result was a Coahuila series sweep to advance to the Campeonato Nacional de México, capped off by a 9-1 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said catcher Ciriaco Cedeño, who hit .538 in the series. Cedeño's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .625 on-base percentage and had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
