Tradesmen Blanked by Klempir, 3-0 Friday, July 10th , 1914 Jur Klempir was in a mood to talk following the Winchester Barons contest against the Birmingham Tradesmen, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Tradesmen, 3-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Klempir said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The left-hander blanked Birmingham on a 7-hitter, allowing no walks and racking up 4 strikeouts. To date this season, Klempir has a record of 8 wins and 7 losses and a 3.85 ERA.
