Santa Fe Takes Interdivisional Series Tuesday, August 25th , 1914 A classic and dramatic Interdivisional Series has wrapped up, with the Santa Fe Hollyhocks outlasting the Lubbock Layabouts to advance to the Pennant Championship Series. Santa Fe won the final game by a score of 3-1 and took the series 3-2. "We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Santa Fe first baseman Luis Santiago, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP. Santiago hit .429 with a .455 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Santa Fe Hollyhocks will play against the Wichita Falls Yardmen in the next round. Wichita Falls won their series against the Tempe Olympians 3 games to 2. The Pennant Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Interdivisional Series finishes.
