Riding the 4-hit performance of second baseman Santiago Díaz, the Bolzano Dolomiti stopped the visiting Bratislava Bojovnitsi, 15-9, in Game 2 of the Europaeischer Meisterschaft. Díaz was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for the Dolomiti, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Gianni Boncompagni hit a bases-clearing triple off Dalimil Mares in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Dolomiti in front, 6-5. Boncompagni had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 4.

"We haven't stopped playing," Bratislava manager Gonzalo Urreiztieta said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 23rd , 1908 at Štadión Bratislavy in Bratislava.
