The Guanica Amigos managed to get by the Caguas Coquis, 5-4, at Estadio Gilberto Martínez. Guanica pitcher Héctor Delgado set himself apart with his performance. Guanica reliever Cid Maldonado picked up the win to move to 3-0. Rubén Ruelas suffered the loss. Guanica is looking good at 49-16.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, two-time Acutísimo winner Mario Franco had a real shot to win the game. Caguas pitcher Natanael Hernández was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Franco hit a run-scoring single. The Amigos had a walk-off triumph.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Franco said, postgame.
